Trunking systems serve as a support system for luminaires and carry and protect the necessary cabling for lighting, emergency lighting, public address systems, CCTV equipment and other technical installations. At the same time, these support systems overcome structurally challenging requirements and ensure a uniform appearance. Trucking systems are frequently used, particularly in public spaces and in areas of local public transport and rail transport. NORKA is expanding its trunking system portfolio and supplementing it with several product ranges from Fischer Lichtsysteme, a long-standing partner of NORKA.

Trunking systems are used particularly in the public transport sector, as they protect the supply cables whilst also facilitating easy installation and maintenance, and offer a high degree of stability against external influences such as wind. Furthermore, they make it possible to circumvent challenging structural elements such as cross-beams. In areas such as subways or access routes, utility ducts, when combined with vandal-proof lighting, also offer good protection against wilful damage and tampering. Additional technical equipment, such as loudspeakers or cameras, is further protected by a utility duct.
