The housings of NORKA luminaires are designed for durability in harsh environments. It is quite possible, therefore, that the electronic components of these luminaires will reach the end of their service life whilst the housings or protective tubes remain usable for many years to come. Luminaires featuring easy eXchange allow for the simple replacement of control gear and LED modules – enabling these robust luminaires to start a ‘second life’ with a renewed interior. This saves not only time and money, but also resources.

DurableBy simply continuing to use the robust housings, the targeted replacement of components via easy eXchange conserves valuable material resources.

Depending on the luminaire model, LEDs and the driver can be replaced together or individually. For example, the “easy eXchange” feature in the BERN LED allows the LEDs and driver to be replaced together. In luminaire families featuring “easy eXchange LED”, such as the FULDA LED, the LEDs housed in the protective tube can be replaced using a plug-in connection. The protective tube continues to be used. In luminaire families featuring “easy eXchange DRIVER”, the driver can be replaced quickly and easily whilst the luminaire remains in place – as is the case with the ERFURT LED, for example.
